Red face Help with research- macro

Hi guys, I am new to this forum and macros. I am working on a research project which requires me to go through a pretty tedious process and I am trying to hasten it so that I can focus on the research instead of going through 3000 rows in Excel and copying and pasting them.

    The Idea- an example:

I have a list of of names in every row of Column A (eg. James Bond...)
I would like to take the value from every row ( or range of rows) in column A and paste it next to a website name (lets say google.com/James Bond) in column B's rows, and repeat this process until there are no remaining rows with any values in column A. The name of the website need not change.

Once this is done, I want the macro to take the website addresses from Column B and go to that website and download selected data (data which I will specify) and paste it in different cells. There will be five figures that will be collected from each website, so pasting it in different cells to keep track of every website's address is key. (Eg. Data collected from google.com/James Bond might be Age: 30, M/F: Male, Height: 6 feet) This data should be pasted in 3 separate rows under one column like this

    Column C Column D
Name James Bond (taken from Column A)
    Age 30 (collected from website)
    M/F M (collected from website)
Height 6 ft (collected from website)

    Name Sherlock Holmes
    Age 35
    M/F Male
    Height 6 ft

    and so on...

I have collected this data from the website individually by recording a macro but would like to automate this process so I don't have to manually go through thousands of rows of data. Hope I was able to describe my problem.

Thanks a lot for all your help !

    Hello wacc,

    Welcome to the Forum!

To expedite a solution, you should post a copy of your workbook. This will allow all code to be tested against the actual data and layout. If your workbook contains sensistive information, please redact it before posting.

    How To Post Your Workbook
    1. At the bottom right of the Reply window, Click the button Go Advanced
    2. At the top of the Your Message Window, in the first row of icons, Click the Paperclip icon.
    3. Click the Add Files button at the top right in the dialog box. This displays the File Manager dialog.
    4. Click the Select Files button at the bottom middle of the dialog.
    5. In the new window Find the file you want to upload, select it, and Click Open.
    6. You will now be back in the File Manager dialog. Click the bottom Middle button Upload File.
    7. Wait until the file has completely uploaded before you exit the File Manager dialog.
    Sincerely,
    Leith Ross
