    Sorting based on unique identifiers

Hi all, I want to write a sub that finds the total amount spent by each customer on the list whose total is more than $1500, and then paste it on the Results worksheet. Please describe your logic, I'd like to learn how it all operates. Thank you so much

    Picture:

Hi and welcome to the forum

Please do not upload a picture of your file...rather, upload a sample of your workbook, showing what data you are working with, a few samples of your expected outcome (manually entered is ok) and how you arrived at that. (Exclude sensitive info). Pictures are pretty much impossible to edit, and no-one wants to re-type your data for you. Also, not all members can upload picture files (Company firewalls, etc.)

To attach a file to your post,
click advanced (next to quick post),
scroll down until you see "manage file",
click that and select "add files" (top right corner).
click "select files" find your file, click "open" click "upload" click 'done" bottom right. click "submit reply"

Once the upload is completed the file name will appear below the input boxes in this window.
You can then close the window to return to the new post screen.

Re: Sorting based on unique identifiers

    Hi Excel Beginner,

This kind of problem is why Pivot Tables are GREAT.
I built a 100 random dates, Cust ID and Amts, in the attached. Then did a Pivot Table by each ID using Sum of Amt. Now for the important part. Excel has ROW FILTERS. I filtered the PT by using Sum of Amt >= 1500. I think that is what you wanted. See the attached.

Re: Sorting based on unique identifiers

    Thanks so much!

That would help, only I need to sort the orders that qualify by date in ascending order. Could I also accomplish that using the pivot table?
