    Timer

    Hi

I have a workbook in excel that rotates a circle when a button is clicked. I would like a timer in seconds to start also when the button has been clicked and to be displayed in cell A1. What would be the best way to do this?

    Thanks

here_time as public variable, to make sure you can kill the process obce you want to stop.

    Re: Timer

    Hello

Put this code in a Module in VBA (Developer Tab -> Visual Basic)

Please Login or Register to view this content.
You can invoke the "StartTimer" function when the workbook opens and have it repeat every second by adding the below code to your workbooks Visual Basic "This.Workbook" class in the Visual Basic editor.

Please Login or Register to view this content.
Now, every time 1 second passes the Timer procedure will be invoked, and set cell A1 equal to the current time.
    Regards

    Fotis.
