Auto refresh using VBA without opening?

    Hello,

I have a refresh macro (thisworkbook.refreshall) and I have it set on a timer (TimeSerial etc.).....so every hour it launches the refresh macro. However, right not it's set on to run on open. I don't want to open it. I want it to continually run in the background. Is this possible?

    Thanks in advance.

    J

Ok, so I did some research and it doesn't look like this is possible (which is a bummer) but it may be possible to have VBA open the sheet, refresh it, and then save/close it, right?
