    Question Random automated number allocator

    Hi all,

Thank you to everyone for your help so far on this site.
I am slowly getting more competent with excel, but need some help - perhaps direction where I could find out how to do this.

I have taken on a project that is would seem is far out of my league right now, but need to deliver.

I have attached the example spreadsheet to help explain what I am trying to achieve, which is basically a random automated number allocator.

Look forward to receiving your replies,

    Thanks,

    Dan

To mods: As the title has been changed from:
A little bit of programming I think?!
    to
    Random automated number allocator

I assume it is not against rule 7 to answer.

Have a look on a skeleton of the main loop. of course you have to add a lot there to have a fully functional one, but as for the start - try this:

    Re: Random automated number allocator

    Hi Kaper,

Thanks very much, that works beautifully! I have now added a lot of coding, and try as I might I cannot seem to work out how to create a macro that will find the numbers allocated to the trainers and then email them accordingly. I have looked all over the web, but cannot find anything that really matches what I am trying to do. I wonder if you think this is not going to work, and I should look to select the trainer and email them from there in single macros?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks again so far!

    Dan

    Re: Random automated number allocator

I would probably autofilter data with thainer as criteria, then copy visible to new worksheet and send this worksheet via mail to trainer used for filtering.
All this shall be done in the loop for every trainer or done "on request" for selected trainer.
