I recently joined a very new company and my boos is not in the mood to invest for software so he asked me to make two programs in excel (which i have no idea where to start). I have figured out the system as how to organize it but i don`t know how to execute the idea in excel. I am a very basic excel user and never had the necessity to sit and program something and at the same time, forgot a lot of the formulas, so i am in deep deep trouble. I told my boss but he just said "please figure something out", so here i am hoping to get some directions...
Both of the programs will have to be connected to a slip printer so it needs to be at a slip printer format or dimension.
The first program has to be used for 3 agents that we have to organize their days as per appointment and area where they have to go.
The city is separated in different areas as per weekdays. Say, Monday has area 1, 2, 3, 4 etc, and the same for the other days.
So my guess is that one column has to be regarding the name of the agent (to be picked from a list), the other column is with the date (to be picked from the calendar) and connected to that weekday, the areas will appear, and then the time. the other columns would be with the contact details of the customer. And the last one should be the name of the person who made the booking (picked from a list).
The second program has to be for the costumers. Customers will be coming in the front desk and the following procedure will be followed: They will have to make two payments. One is a deposit they have to leave, and the second payment will be made for a tab/ paddle that they will be given. I need to generate a slip which will specify:
Contacts of the customer: Name, surname, id number, phone number, e-mail
Deposit amount
tab/paddle amount paid
tab/paddle number given
person who generated the slip
I am really really lost and don`t know from where to begin and how to put this all in excel and i reeeeallly need huge help
