Excel 2010
"Could not load an object because it's not available on this machine" is the full error message.
But it's not true. It most certainly is available. I can add the listview control to the toolbox. If I try to add it to the form that already has one that isn't displaying due to the error, I get an error. If I create a new file I can add the listview without any problems.
I am definitely using the 32 bit version of excel so, from what I can tell it should work.

The link above shows that the listview should work on 32 bit versions.
I tried regsvr32 shown below but it didn't work. The \syswow commands worked ok but the \system32 commands errored out. Couldn't load resource or something.
It still doesn't work after regsvr.

Tried running as administrator. Doesn't work, get the error "there was a problem sending the command to the program".
Tried saving the file after closing the error boxes. I was able to re-open the newly saved file without any errors but the listviews still wouldn't load. I could then add new listviews but the existing ones wouldn't display.
I know the easy answer (not easy to implement though) is to use listbox instead but I probably have 20 different listviews in this file alone and who knows how many more in other files. From what I can tell, this should work so I'm hoping there's something that can be done.
I'm sure that I've run old scripts with listviews on win7 computers without any problems. We actually have a couple here that don't have this problem but two new computers today both have the problem.
