Sorting Data

Hi All

I have a large list of data that has been sent to me. The information that I need to extract has been highlighted in colour, but bby any text in a column

Is there any way I can extract this data or sort it by colour or a formula I can use to group these together so I can extract them

Hi create the below mentioned UDF

now in a new column say "Sorting Coloumn"
enter the formula

=color_code( A1)

where A1 is the cell which is colored...

once u get the value .. just click the normal sort

Hi

Thanks so much for the reply, I have created the UDF and returned to Excel

But when I put the forumla in it comes up with a NAME err.

Am I supposed to enter

=color_code( A1)

Or does colour and code need replacing with a value?
