    Enable macros through email attachments

I have coded my spreadsheet to send a copy of my active spreadsheet to the email addresses which i have put into the code.

When the attachment comes through to the email addresses, The customer will open the attachment and will have to enable macros for the spreadsheet to work, What i want is for the customer to recieve the spreadsheet but not have to enable the macros, there must be something out there which will auto do this for them.

No - being able to automate Macro security would rather negate the purpose of the security would it not ?

A common approach to handling this is discussed: http://www.cpearson.com/excel/EnableMacros.aspx

Discussions on circumventing Security via Code are prohibited on this Forum.

Re: Enable macros through email attachments

    Hello dwarford101,

Unless the workbook is from a trusted source (digitally signed like VeriSign), the user will have to decide if they want to enable macros. This is by design for security against malware programs.
    Sincerely,
    Leith Ross
