How Can I Move Textual Data?

Is it possible to move textual data in one worksheet based on data in another?

In the attached workbook Example.xls, I have a worksheet called List of Employees. If the employee is on that list, I want their e-mail to be moved in the worksheet called Original from the "Employees All time" cell to the "Employees Still Here" cell.

How can I do this? Please see attached Excel workbook. I have also included an example result within the workbook called Example Result.

Be fore warned, I regularly post drunk. So don't take offence (too much) to what I say.
    I am the real 'Napster'
The Grid. A digital frontier. I tried to picture clusters of information as they moved through the computer. What did they look like? Ships? motorcycles? Were the circuits like freeways? I kept dreaming of a world I thought I'd never see. And then, one day...

thanks, this is almost what I need.

i am looking to move (not copy) data from "Names of Employees in All Time" to "Employees Still Here".

That way the "Names of Employees in All Time" column is left with employees not here.

    Thank you,
    jcholla

Since you are probably new to forums, I will not reply to your ignorant comment. Maybe you should have a look at the following link for an explanation of what you did wrong. http://www.excelguru.ca/content.php?184

And just so you are aware, I will have the negative rep you gave me reversed. You don't get to break the rules and complain that you got your hand caught in the cookie jar. If you don't like then maybe you will be happy get your solutions from a consultancy service rather than free forums.

lol your crying over neg rep? you deserve it. this forum is here to help others, not to make useless posts like yours. so what if i "cross-posted"? you saying that only hurts somebody looking for help.

Re: How Can I Move Textual Data?

jcholla, abousetta is correct in posting your cross post. It is very frustrating to spend time on an answer only to have it already answered somewhere else. In this case it was not answered on the other site so no harm done. I can hope you will see where abousetta is coming from and understand that his post was not useless. It is just good forum etiquette and as abousetta stated, it is nothing to be offended about if you are new to these types of forums, just being careful in future is all that is required. Thanks for the rep and Cheers.

Re: How Can I Move Textual Data?

@jcholla... you obviously don't get it. We are here to help, but it doesn't help anyone if you already had an answer. Why did you post at Mr. Excel if JapanDave was already working hard on providing you with a solution. Did you think he would not be able to help you or that this problem was above his understanding or abilities? Why were you not clear that you are cross-posting? Why hide it? Did you tell the Mr. Excel members about the initial solution that you got here? Of course these are all rhetorical questions and just so you know, the top people here are the same ones at other sites. If you don't believe me then got the Microsoft Excel MVP site and check out some of the profiles. You will notice that they post on similar sites.

Another broken rule... don't start a new thread with the same question:

    http://www.excelforum.com/excel-gene...html?p=2797154

    and of course, cross-posted
