External source from the same folder as current open document

Hello everyone,

I found the following code on this website: http://www.ozgrid.com/forum/showthread.php?t=55626

It fills a dropdown box with data from an external file.
Is it possible to link to "test.txt" which is in the same directory as the current document without stating the directory? So not like: C:\folder\folder\test.txt.
