Named Formulas

Hi Vince.
I'm little bit of confused about the uses of the named formulas. Actually I'm habituated with the regular functions.

I found the following uses for me:

1. I used to create things like running numbers with "cell above plus one" - which easily broke, when I had to delete rows. With a named formula "Next" I can easily enter the formula in the whole column.

2. I often have tables with complicated lookups - by using a named formula like "VatRate" my worksheets became much more readable - and I also make sure that the same logic is applied to all cells in a column. As a side effect I can also hide the "dirty details" of the lookup from other users.

3. Finally I found good use when I had very complicated calculations, with lots of dependencies. By defining the parts of KPIs and other measures I drastically reduced the probability of errors: when a formula is using a named formula, I am sure that the same value is applied everywhere.
