Clean up your act re: Commercial Services

Commercial Services states that one can deposit from $10 to $200 and then make an offer.

No one accepted my offer and thus I asked one month ago for my deposit to be returned.

"Hi Ununio, sorry but I did miss this followup message.

No promises on the refund, that's not something I can recall being done. But I'll certainly send your request to the forum owners and explain your request, I will do what I can to get it approved and done for you."

Your business model for the Commercial Services is absurd if this is true.

So if I had deposited $200, which is one of the deposit options, the forum would have kept the $200 if the offer is not accepted?

How can that be called anything other than a ripoff, regardless of the amount deposited, if no one accepts the offer?

The forum does not state "Deposit up to $200, and if no one accepts the job, we keep the money."
Who in their right mind would deposit any amount under those terms?
"Oh please, may I deposit more than $200, since no one may accept the offer and the forum will keep the money in that case?"

And if someone was desperate and wanted to possibly waste some money on a non-acceptance, why in the world would they deposit more than the minimum?

I was very impressed with this forum from the first time I visited, and the incredibly helpful, friendly, knowledgeable people here, but this commercial services plan is ridiculous.

I will be initiating a chargeback to my credit card by tomorrow.

Prior to depositing, here is a question I asked and the response:

Apologies for the way this seems to be heading. I will also contact management and see what can be done to get your money refunded.

FWIW, we seldom have problems with the CS forum, and they are mostly sorted out fairly quickly.

    I agree with Ford

AFAIAA a refund has always been made whenever no satisfactory answer or indeed no answer at all has been received.

I'm sure now that Ford is aware a refund will be forthcoming.

I appreciate the support posts from FDibbins and Richard Buttrey.

Thus far, no refund however. (It shows as "DEEPASH" - correct? It was for $20).

I put off contesting it due to your posts, but time is probably running out for me to do so with my CC company, so will do so by the end of next week and make a chargeback.

    This should not be necessary.

Again, my apologies for this mess, it really should not have happened. I will once again bounce management to get this resolved as quickly as possible

Still no refund 6 days after your last post.

I'm going to start a chargeback and waste time doing that.

What do the owners tell you? Why is there no follow thru for such a simple thing?

I am no longer able to access the thread I started in "Commercial Services".

Can you give me access again, at least for a day. I wanted to be exact about certain dates, etc.

    Thank you.

Again, I apologize for the delay, I have again contacted management on this matter.

You are, of course, free to whatever you feel necessary from your side, to rectify this unnecessary situation

    Hi ununio

I have moved the thread into this sub-forum so that you can see it and closed it to further responses. You should see it directly below this thread.
Hope this is OK for you.
