    Views in Excel

I have a spreadsheet that came from an outside source, that has a 1 and 2 in the blue bar to the left of the row #. When you click 1, it shows an expanded view of the spreadsheet, and when you click 2 it shows a contracted version, with some of the rows of information hidden. There is also an icon that shows the range of the rows hidden. I was wondering if anyone knew how to duplicate this. I think it would be helpful as it would allow me to have a view with everything for data entry, but another view with just the essential information to show others. Thanks.

    Hi,

I think you are referring to grouping,

try selecting some columns and goto data, group and outline, group

this should duplicate what you are referrring to, you can do the same for rows
