How do I link value in a cell (sheet1) to a cell on sheet 2, without doing a cut n paste?

I have deposits for the days in a month on sheet 1

Sheet 2, I have the total of deposits for month.

This is the same figure that is on the total line on sheet 2


Sheet 1 ....... Sheet 2
1 10 .......... JAN $464 # carried from Sheet 1 Total Deposits BY DAY FOR MONTH.
2 15 .......... FEB
3 10 ...... ETC...
..
31 Days 5


Total $464
