    Trouble with multiple IF formulas

I am working in the Numbers app on an ipad. My question is this: I want to make a formula that is placed in cell G14 and says, IF F5="Male" then G6*.36 but do not enter anything less than 56. IF F5="Female" then G6*.36 but do not enter anything less than 46.

I did have the first part working right but I could not get the 2nd part to work...I think I have pulled my last hair out trying to make this simple formula.

Thank you so much in advance for your help.

Re: Trouble with multiple IF formulas

I can't see your attachment (software incompatibilities with some browsers on this forum), and I know nothing of the Numbers app on an IPad, but in Excel you would do this in G14:

    =IF(F5="Male",MIN(G6*0.36,56),IF(F5="Female",MIN(G6*0.36,46),""))

    Hope this helps.

Re: Trouble with multiple IF formulas

Thanks for you help but it seems to be backwards. When I enter 500 in cell G6 and "Male" in cell F5, it will not calculate or enter anything over 56, the same happens for "Female"...it enters nothing over 46. I need those two numbers to be the min.... I changed the MIN to MAX and it worked!

Thank you so much!! You, my friend are awesome!!!
