I have the following issue, all my settings seem to be fine (Europe) and my time settings are fine as well, only in Excel it shows in US format. Any idea on how I can change this?

From the screenshot it looks like it's an US-english implementation of Excel or maybe some add-in which uses US-english.
Did you check the language settings in File->Options->Language?
Cheers!

Hi Tsjallie,
I have a Mac which does not have file->options>language? This also just happened over night? It was never a problem, I think it has to do with an update of Excel....
Hmm, didn't having ended up in the Mac-section of the forum
Googled around a bit and it seems that a lot of (non-english) mac-user have this problem.
One would expect to find an option to set the language in Excel (in case of a Mac that should be somewhere in de Preferences of the Excel menu), but apparently it isn't.
May be this post can help you: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...6-eb2425f3ca40
Thanks for the help, unfortunately neither options fixed it. Language settings on my mac are everywhere on English(UK), also in Excel. Installed the app you suggested, also did not fix it...
I fixed it! This is the solution:
Go to System Preferences -> Languages and Region
Select the preferred language and select Region. Here you should select your local region. For me it stated English (UK), but when I changed this to Netherlands-Dutch, after a reboot of the Mac it was fixed!
