    =LARGE with multiple dynamic criteria

    Good afternoon all,

Thank you in advance for your help.

I've attached a file I'm working on currently.

I would like the top 20 campaign names to populate dependent on the highest value metric selected from G3 (currently revenue). G3 would reference the revenue column (F) in Raw data, but would need to be interchangeable with column C-G (traffic, cost etc)

The campaigns and weekly metrics would then change dependent on that particular campaigns specified metric that week.

    Thanks,
    Joe

Re: =LARGE with multiple dynamic criteria

All the numbers are the same, if you put in different values and also if you manually put in the expected output it makes it a lot easier to figure out a formula for you.

But there are no expected outcomes on the campaign performance sheet - please add what you expect to see there manually.

    Updated version attached with data.

I've added in the campaign names and the revenue for week 15 into the campaign tab, the previous weeks would then populate as a result.

The revenue for that week (and therefore previous) would switch to traffic if that was the metric selected

Thanks Jacc, this is incredibly useful and the functionality is perfect.

Only thing is, would you know how to limit it to only show campaigns with B-Brand?

    Thanks again,
    Joe

Also, is there a way of changing the formatting of the cell dependent on the criteria e.g. cost should be Ł, but clicks should be a number.

Re: =LARGE with multiple dynamic criteria

Nice to hear it's working! I saw the (not set), I kind of figured you didn't want those but there are only so many hours in a day. I think I can fix it tonight.
The format is fixable as well.

Re: =LARGE with multiple dynamic criteria

    Hi Jacc,

    Thanks so much again.

The formula is actually for usage within a Google Sheet, however despite all formulas being supported I've been unable to replicate within this interface. I've linked below -

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...Szs/edit#gid=0

Would it be at all possible to re-attempt within my sheet?

    Again, this is hugely appreciated.

Re: =LARGE with multiple dynamic criteria

Will you please attach the workbook here? Some members are unable or unwilling to access file-sharing sites.

    1. Make sure that your sample data are REPRESENTATIVE of your real data. The use of unrepresentative data is very frustrating and can lead to long delays in reaching a solution.

    2. Make sure that your desired solution is also shown (mock up the results manually).

    3. Make sure that all confidential data is removed or replaced with dummy data first (e.g. names, addresses, E-mails, etc.).

    4. Try to avoid using merged cells as they cause lots of problems.

Unfortunately the attachment icon doesn't work at the moment, so to attach an Excel file you have to do the following: just before posting, scroll down to Go Advanced and then scroll down to Manage Attachments. Now follow the instructions at the top of that screen.

Please pay particular attention to point 2 (above): without an idea of your intended outcomes, it is often very difficult to offer appropriate advice.

    Hi Ali,

I've added in some representative data.

The raw data also sits within the Campaign tab

Where is it? Attach it here, like you did the earlier versions.

Re: =LARGE with multiple dynamic criteria

Hi Ali, This is a link to a Google Sheet document, so it's cloud hosted rather than being a physical file.

It may be cloud-hosted, but it's a file like any other! Download it and attach it here. Not everyone can or will access file-sharing sites like Google Drive.

Do you need a solution that will work as a Google Sheet?

Re: =LARGE with multiple dynamic criteria

Yes, that's why I wanted to link to the sheet as opposed to exporting to Excel.

Jacc's solution may work, but I was having difficulty replicating.

Re: =LARGE with multiple dynamic criteria

That's the problem - you have posted in the wrong section. Nowhere did you advise your helpers that this needed to work in a Google Sheet. I am moving the thread accordingly.

    Hi,

Neither of the links you posted are accessible to me, but did you wrap the formulas in an ARRAYFORMULA() construction?
    Don

Here is the final piece of the puzzle. The google docs version I'll leave to someone else.
One fomula changed but still array formula of course.
