Google Sheets: Background cell color changes

Good day experts,

I would like to ask for some help on color of a cell changes automatically when the color of a cell from another sheet changes:

Example:

Sheet1!C7 to change color automatically whenever the color in Sheet2!A3 changes.

Sheet1!C5 to change color automatically whenever the color in Sheet2!A4 changes.

Sheet1!A2 to change color automatically whenever the color in Sheet2!A5 changes.

Sheet1!A7 to change color automatically whenever the color in Sheet2!B1 changes.

How do the colours in Sheet2!A3, A4 etc. change? Is it due to conditional formatting acting on those cells, or will those colours be set manually?

The Sheet2!A3, A4 will have some conditional formatting and can also be set manually.

Well, if the colour is set by conditional formatting then you could use the same rules to colour the cells in Sheet1.

If they are set manually then I don't think there is anything you could do - a change of format (i.e. colour) does not trigger a change event, so I don't think you could do it with an event macro (though I may be proved wrong).
