Anyone ever use excel on a tablet for signatures, sign offs?

Hope I posted this in the right spot.

I am thinking for my factory of buying a tablet that has excel on it. I want to turn all of our paper copy sign offs into electronic copies. It would get rid of 8 binders full of sign offs.

Has anyone done something like this?

I half tried it out on the desktop version of excel, used the Shapes- Scribble tool. Once you let go of the mouse to dot the "i" it ends that scribble which wouldnt work that well. Many people take the pen off the paper a few times while writing their signature. It would be nice to select the cell beside the person's name, have them write their signature, then it locks it into that cell.

So again, has anyone done something like this? Any tips on the best way to do it?

    thanks everyone!

You can certainly Draw in Excel on an iPad. I can produce quite a good copy of my signature using my finger tip or a pointer. How you would create an application to take advantage of the functionality is beyond my skills.

I'd suggest you get hold of an iPad to test and develop your solution.

That would be very helpful as the content of your question has been posted in different fashion previously.
