    Google sheets: Conditional formatting

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...it?usp=sharing

Hi guys in my sheet above...

    see cell: J18

I want J18 to be highlighted in green if I18 is less than H18
I want J18 to be highlighted in red if I18 is more than H18
I want J18 to be highlighted in orange if I18 is the same as H18

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks!!
    Thanks,

    R.

It would be better to attach an Excel workbook, rather than a link to a Google Docs sheet.

Especially as the link doesn't seem to allow public access to the file.

    Re: Google sheets: Conditional formatting

    Hi Pete,

I am attaching it as an excel sheet now (was not sure if this would be an issue as I need the solution on google sheets).

    Thank you!

    Re: Google sheets: Conditional formatting

You basically just need to use Format - Conditional formatting, then add a rule for cell value is greater than 0, another for cell value is less than 0, then apply a regular format which would cover 0 values.

    Re: Google sheets: Conditional formatting

    Hi rorya,

I don't think that is the solution. As I am comparing 2 cells and then I want the conditional formatting to be the result of the comparison.. I might be wrong in understanding your solution..

    Re: Google sheets: Conditional formatting

J18 already does the comparison as it subtracts the two cells.
