Google Sheets - Auto sort sports results table into 1st - 6th

    Hello,

I use google sheets for my sports teams, they input their own results for it all to work so its easier, all the results get collated into a table on one of the sheets, is there a way where the table can auto sort itself so i dont need to manually do it after the matches?

    Thank You

    Steve

I'd use the SORT formula to create a sorted copy of the table automatically.

Not familiar with how Google Sheets work, but if similar to Excel, then write a macro to auto sort each time the file is opened.

    It's basically:

=SORT(table range here, column number to sort by, True for ascending/False for descending) (see: https://support.google.com/docs/answer/3093150?hl=en)

    so:

    =SORT(A1:F100,2,TRUE)

    for example.
