Vlookup on iPad sometimes works sometimes doesn’t work

    Hello,

I have a simple HLOOKUP formula for finding the next day of the week.

The formulas are entered across the first row beginning at cell B1. When I enter a day in cell A1, then the week populates as shown:

However, when I change the date in cell A1, some formulas don’t work:

I’m at a loss as different days of the week result in different outcomes:

I also tried this as a VLOOKUP and had the same problem. Any help would great, thanks.

Attach the workbook. We can't troubleshoot pictures.

Most likely issue will be leading or trailing spaces in either the lookup cell or the array.

I don’t know how to attach It. But I did forget to say that I’m having this problem on my iPad.

I checked for trailing spaces and everything looks good. I’m sorry I can’t figure out how to attach. I tried uploading it where it says “manage Attachments”. But the paper clip icon doesn’t work. Obviously, I am doing something wrong.

Unfortunately the attachment icon doesn't work at the moment, so to attach an Excel file you have to do the following: just before posting, scroll down to Go Advanced and then scroll down to Manage Attachments. Now follow the instructions at the top of that screen.

The fact that it appears to be an issue with Monday specifically would tend to imply that Ali's suggestion is correct. I can't see why you'd need a lookup just to produce the next day though.
