goOGLE SHEeet: Text and left function

Hi guys,

Can someone assist me with my sheet here:

ON the copy of leaderboard v4 slide, cell F1, i am trying to write this formula: ="20 points winners from:" & =LEFT(A1,10) BASICALLY, I want line 2 from cell A1 and trying to combine the text to read: 20 point winners from Wolves 1-1 Man Utd

Can anyone see why my sheet is giving me an error message?

Where is the error message? Which cell(s) are we supposed to be looking at?

OK, so what are you expecting it to return?

At the moment you have this:

="20 points winners from:" & =LEFT(B1,10)

Try this:

="20 points winners from:" & LEFT(A1,10)

B1 is part of a merged cell and you won't need the = before LEFT - you only need to initiate a formula at the very beginning with =.
