Help creating filtered views on different tabs

Hi,

I would like to take information from a tab and then show different variations of columns on a different tab and filter those choices by a "type" which is in one of the main columns.

So Main tab might have the following:

Column 1: Name
Column 2: Client
Column 3: Type
Column 4: Cost
Column 5: ROI
Column 6: Justification

Sheet 2 wants to be filtered by a certain answer from Column 3 and only show
Column 1, 2, 4, & 6

While sheet 3 wants to be filtered by a certain answer from column 3 and show
Column 1, 2, 4, &5

is there a simple way to do this? pivot charts don't seem to really do this right as it seems to break the layouts/tries to sum it all up
