    Golf Contest Missed Cut Formula

I am trying to find a formula for our golf pools to reflect that a player that misses the cut will have his score for round 3 and 4 be one shot higher than the highest score for that round. So for example, in the sheet I've linked, Adam Scott shot a 79 in Round 3, so every player that missed the cut will get an 80 for Round 3. Zach Johnson's Round 3 score in cell F14 needs to reflect this. I am trying to keep it to just the two sheets if possible. I am using this formula for each round =IFERROR(INDEX(Leaderboard!H$2:H$100,Match($A14,Leaderboard!$B$2:$B$100,0)),"") and am hoping to be able to add the new formula to this one. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Golf Contest Missed Cut Formula

It sounds like you have some missing variables or I'm not fully understanding what you are asking.

    What is the cut off?
Is the cut off a hard 80 or higher and regardless of the number of players in the event, if you score 79 or better, you make it to round 3?
or is there a "Top X number of players" so that the best X players make it to the 3rd round?

It sounds like you need a "qualifier" row (helper row) of your condition that will filter out people on the "leaderboard" that do not make the cut.

=Rank can help here based on max numbers "Rank if average/sum/etc meets desired value" Then it is just a "Index/Match" formula after that.

The answer to the questions will help us get a better understanding of where the true cut off is and how to get the value you are looking for.
