Pivot Table won't work

Hi all,
I'm trying to create a timesheet that will allow me to create a pivot table to see graphs on tasks, day and hours.

But whenever I try to create a table for Tasks, and try to get the values for Tasks, it always come up with zero. Not sure what I'm doing wrong or if I should reformat the columns and rows to a different way so Pivot tables can read it.

Any help would be great

it would be picture 2 where it is the sum of all of Task 1 and all of Task 2
