Question Using 3-D Formulas for Pie Charts (MAC)

Creating an annual department budget. I want to see how much three different programs spend on marketing/advertising. My document has three worksheets—one for each program. I'm hoping to use a 3-D formula to create a pie chart that breaks down how much of the advertising budget is spent by each department. Ideally I'd like the pie chart on a separate worksheet (labeled TOTALS). I've tried a few different ways and am having trouble getting a 3D formula to work for the pie chart. Any insight would be terrific.

    Running MacOS Mojave 10.14.6. Thanks!

correct me if im wrong, but isn't a chart a visual representation of related data?
it would seem that the data table has not yet been created in order for it to produce the visual representation that you are expecting.

Re: Using 3-D Formulas for Pie Charts (MAC)

given that a pie chart is 100% collectively, and that each department individually and collectively has spent over the "budget" a pie chart is not the best way to represent the data. A bar or column chart would be a better choice.

however a pie chart could show the relationship that each have to the other of the total (not budget) that was spent.
