    Power query google sheets migration

    Hi!

I have made several power queries in Excel, all linked to one initial sheet of data. I am a noob when it comes to google sheets => do these power queries created in excel migrate over to google sheets? If yes, how?

I imported my excel file to google sheets and so far I found nothing similar in there that would let me refresh my connections.

Will I have to recreate my queries in the google sheets equivalent of microsoft power query?

    Many thanks!
    S

No - not a chance. I don't even think there is anything like PQ in Google Sheets. I think you are out of luck if you want to keep the same functionality.

I'm moving this to the correct forum section.

Figured, thank you very much Ali (for the reply & moving the thread).

My team is heavily reliant on google sheets to pass info around, I guess the best solution here would be for one person to run the already-created power Query functions in excel, then share the result tables in google sheets.

I think that might be your compromise, yes.

You can use the "QUERY" function in conjunction with SQL statements in Google Sheets. Also; there are lots of functions like FILTER, IMPORTXML, IMPORTDATA, IMPORTRANGE ....
