Hello all,
I have a google sheet that tracks orders. When an order needs a process we call WOB, I have a checkbox column, start date column and and end date column. I need the start date to automatically fill in the current date when the checkbox is checked but lock or fix the date so that it does not change the next day. Example link is below. Thank you!

The file is private, so we cannot view or edit it.
In Google Sheets, formulas will recalculate so the timestamp cannot be relied upon.
The only way to have a static timestamp put into a cell when a checkbox is edited is with an Apps Script.
You can find good examples in the Google forums, and StackOverflow.
