Unprotecting a combo box in Developer

Hi, I am creating a membership form and have put combo boxes in so applicants can select various options. When I protect the sheet (so the form cannot be changed) the combo boxes also become protected and cannot be accessed. How do I protect the sheet without locking out the combo boxes too?

have you tried using data validation lists instead?

Hi I should have said I am using Excel, but you probably guessed that. I cant see where I can use data validation lists?

data tab-validate dropdown and select data validation then set allow to list and link to your input range

if you want to stick with comboboxes you have to unprotect the cell you link them to
