I have Excel 2010 for Windows. Are these files compatible with Mac Excell 2011? That is can I transfer these files to the Mac?

If it is of any relevance, I have some windows excel .xls (versions between 1998-2003 excel) files I am using with my iMac excel 2011. Compatability seems ok from windows 1998 to iMac 2011 from my experience to date. Have not tried it the other way (iMac 2011 to my work windows 2007). But the older 1998 .xls files have worked ok so far.
it will depend on the files. if you have vba code in there it will be mostly compatible-there are subtle differences
formulas should work the same in both
