Excel sum formula

    Excel sum formula

    Hi guys,
    I am new to the excel forum. I know this is an easy one for you...

    Column A in rows 2-25 I have the following words: Elite Tri Kit, Comp, Athena, Endurance Men Run Shirt, etc...
    in Column F I have those same names.
    Column G would be used to add up the quantities of each

    I tried using a sumif

    I want the quanity column to show how many of each type I have
    I used the formula =SUMIF(A2:A25,"Elite Tri Kit") and it returns a value of 0 in column G next to the associated word in Column Fexcel1.JPG
