    hide values by using text

    Hi Guys and Gals,

This is my first post as I am completely self-tought in the computer skills I have. I have managed to google most of my equasions but this one has stumped me!

I am trying to produce a diary with my workforce's hours spent on site, but replace their hourly rate with their names (incase they happen to see it- to save the arguements!). I'm trying to keep track of which lads have been where and how much we are spending on wages against how much we are earning from various sites.

For example; Dennis earns £15.00 per hour and has worked on site for 9 hours, Craig earns £12.00 per hour and has worked for 8 hours. Sam earns £9.00 but has only worked for 6 hours.

I'd like the sheet to say

    Name Hours

    Dennis 9
    Craig 8
    Sam 6

    Total £285

These two columns would be per day then there is a monthly total which in turn adds up to a grand total. I already have the weekly and monthly totals worked out but I'm struggling with this first problem. If possible, I would like to be able to write any of their 16-17 names and hours in the columns and not have to worry about adding up their wages too?

I hope I have explained this correctly and not confused everyone!

    Thanx in advance!
