Using 2010 professional, wish to type 1 - 2 characters and auto complete from a name list

I was wondering if it is possible to have a drop down list where you can type in the first few letters of a word and have the drop down list go to the the words that begin with those first few letters instead of having to scroll down the entire list to find the word / item you are looking for.
I also with the above question like to access a step by step process to create the list file and then save to be used by excel for the drop down menu.

    Thanks!

You have posted in a forum that is for introductions, not solving issues. You will need to start a new thread, probably in the Excel General forum. It will make it easier to help you if you upload a spreadsheet(s)* displaying what you are attempting to do (manually create the 'List File') so that someone can attempt to write formulas/VBA code that will replicate your list.
*To attach a sample workbook click on the GO ADVANCED button below the Quick Reply window and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.
Let us know if you have any questions.
Consider taking the time to add to the reputation of everybody that has taken the time to respond to your query.
