How to convert text to date format - Please Help

Hi Guys,

Please can you help me. I am not that great in xl a bit of a novice and learning. Can someone please help me with the following.

I have a lot of data to get through. below is a text which I am having trouble converting to a date format. I need it to be in dd/mm/yyyy. I don't need the time etc. Test Date would be Column A and the data in Column B.

Jan 1 1996 11:00 am 54.75
Jan 2 1996 11:00 am 66.74
Jan 3 1996 11:00 am 78.65
Jan 4 1996 11:00 am 90.53
Jan 5 1996 11:00 am 102.4
Jan 6 1996 11:00 am 114.29
Jan 7 1996 11:00 am 126.21
Jan 8 1996 11:00 am 138.19
Jan 9 1996 11:00 am 150.26
Jan 10 1996 11:00 am 162.45

Then after that I am trying to match this with the following data so it all matches up below;
Date is Column E and data is in Column F & G respectively.

02/01/1996 5208.16 5087.13
03/01/1996 5252.6 5143.13
04/01/1996 5259.46 5114.23
05/01/1996 5217.55 5107
08/01/1996 5207.08 5179.98
09/01/1996 5239.23 5100.86
10/01/1996 5151.69 5000.07


I Have been stressing a bit over this as been doing it all manually. Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks.
