Hi from Scotland

Hey all, thanks for the great resource you have here.

I've been using the forum (ie grabbing other people's hard work and good ides!) to solve questions for years and years. I finally registered a while back and got a nag request today reminding me it's been 1508 days and I've not contributed Oops.

I'm self-taught (like lots here, I'm sure) and have been the "Excel guy" in most of my workplaces. I keep reminding people I know nothing really, just that certain things are "possible" if you google hard enough!

I run an HSQE team in the Construction industry, and this afternoon's project is to take auto-generated due dates for inspections (which already vary depending on risk profile and previous inspection results) from several tabs and generate a user-friendly calendar in another to make it easy for my team to plan the next few weeks.

I'm in Scotland, 49 (until Sunday!) and get a very geeky pleasure out of making an Excel tool that simplifies life or tells you something you didn't know. Other forums would probably tell me to get out more, but I know you guys will know what I mean
