Calendar with auto-populating events base on Dates and Location

    Hello everybody

I am working with a Calendar of Programs and Events for my workplace.

I have the list of dates and I want to ask for a formula to auto-populate it on the calendar.

    Thank You for the Help

    FIRST THING.

Hi. Before we get going on this one...

Is your forum profile showing the Excel PRODUCT that you need this request to work with?

The best solutions often rely on knowing WHICH Office PRODUCT (Excel, NOT Windows) that you have. Please check that your forum profile is up-to-date. If you aren't sure, in Excel go to File/Account and report what it says below the MS logo at the top of that page. If your version is for Mac, please also state this.

The three most recent Excel PRODUCTS are Excel 2019, Excel 2021 and MS365 - if you are using MS365, please give this name along with the Version number in your profile (e.g. MS365 (PC) Version 2211). The version number is in the About Excel section further down the Account page.

    SECOND THING

A picture is worth 1,000 words. An Excel sheet is worth 1,000 non-editable pictures.

Please read the yellow banner about sample worksheets, at the top of the screen. Act on its guidelines and post a SMALL sample sheet complete with an explanation and some expected results.

    Glenn.

Re: Calendar with auto-populating events base on Dates and Location

Attached is a calendar file that I put together some years ago, and is thus compatible with XL2003, if that is what you are still using.

You enter the name of the activity and the date(s) in the Activities sheet, and on the calendar sheet those activities are displayed on the appropriate day, with up to 7 events on the same day. You can select the month and year from drop-downs in cells K3 and K4. The data in the Activities sheet can be entered in any order, so you should be able to just copy the Event and date into columns B and C - column A contains a formula which you should not need to change.

    Hope this helps.

    Pete
