Howdy, I'm Dave Anderson,

.....an old Geezer living in Sun City (Geezerville), Arizona. I am still in the "learning the ropes" stage in Excel 2007, so you fine folks will become familiar with my name and, I suppose, my many goofy questions from a forgetful ol' Jarhead!

I am glad to be here and hope that you can bear with me and assist me if what I ask is even possible. Thanks for having me!

My first question is: How can a user assign a dollar or numerical value to remote cell when a "general (a word)" entry is entered into another cell? For example: I would like the dollar value of $1.50 to appear in cell "D4" when I type the word "Domestic Beer" in cell "A4". Is this even possible?
