Hello, and a question about the forum only, not about excel

Hello, I have been a member of this forum for a little while to search for answers. Today I saw a question which I thought I could answer, but the thread is not in bold and when I click on it to open there is no way to reply (it is in excel general and posted at 04.04 today with a title 'how to import rows . . . '. I did a search on reply, but could not see a mention of this. This post, and at least one more I can see do not have the little symbol on the left for 'go to first new post, and the envelope icon shows a closed envelope.
This looks like a great site though, and I have found answers to several problems here, I am still learning even though I am nearing retirement and have been using spreadsheets for work for over 30 years starting with visicalc.

    Welcome to the forum.

That thread has been fixed. It was ending with the word print which was causing the issue.

I also have a Forum Question - Where can I find the Forum FAQ to help us newbies??? I looked all over, even at the bottom of the page...

Today, this site helped me find a VBA solution to create Excel bullets - WOW - It SO made my day!!! While there are many manual suggestions (I've tried all), this was the ONLY automated solution, AND I found it by mistake thru 4 pages of nothing but "excel bullet" threads... Problem is, the answer was rather "hidden" - the thread only had 4 replies and 515 views... much smaller than the rest I've seen with 20K+

Just a suggestion - for the Search engine: add a feature that can parse out automated versus manual solutions. I know, it may be a "wish list", however, I would bet my house that it will make your site the ABSOLUTE, NO QUESTION, #1 BEST Online resource for us techies.

    Thanks for all you do!!!

    Expert-Wannabe,

Welcome to the forum. If you look at the top of the screen, where the menu resides, the FAQ is in the 2nd row of menus. Or the link is here - http://www.excelforum.com/faq.php

In the search results, if you see the thread belongs to the Excel Programming subforum, then its an automated result. If its in the excel general / excel formulae & functions subforum, then its a manual solution.
