I am working on a Project that uses 14 different System Generated (systems are locked and not modifiable) to create a dashboard/Slide Pack. This is a weekly DashBoard/PowerPoint Slide Deck.
Area that I work in is IT Service Delivery with these functions having the Analysis been conducted.
- Service Desk and Operation Support Team Incident Review
- Service Desk and Support Team Problem management Weekly Review
- Change Control Weekly Review.
Approach I have taken.
1. Cleanup Up 14 Spreadsheets with VBA.( Remove Merges,Hyperlinks redundant top Lines etc)
2. Import Cleaned up Spreadsheets in MS Access
3. Run Update Queries to Consolidate data
4. Run queries and export to create 4 Consolidated Excel Workbooks.
5. Paste Workbooks into a Spreadsheet with Predefined Pivot Tables and Graphs, then refresh
The Excel VBA Cleanup Tasks are now completed and have been running without errors for a week
Now to work on automate the importation and Update queries into Access.
