I'm a professional user and have been using Excel since the early 90s. My first introduction to Excel was my first role as a Supervisor. When I was being considered for the position, I went to all the other Supervisors desks to see what they were reading, and what programs they were using. I noticed this manual for Excel on all the desks. In my mind every one of the supervisors knew Excel, and I had no clue what this was. So, me being me, I read the actual Excel Manual cover to cover 3 times prior to the interview, assuming there would be questions. Little did I know there was not a single question in the process around Excel, but I quickly fell in love with it, and to date I have made the concious effort to be as strong in every area of Excel possible. I'm not the best, but I can usually hold my own inside conversations, and I'm very strong at building usable applications within Excel.
I look forward to learning more and more from the group, and meeting some cool people.
Thanks,
John
