    GST set-off working

    Dear Team,

PFA the working of GST set off. (few cases given). Its only illustrative.

Is any single formula which can return the output given in row 20, 21, 22.

There is huge data and doing the set-off working manually is time consuming and chances of error is more.

    Please assist.

    Re: GST set-off working

Ben, I think OP means off-set payments, as in, "this" payment can by offset (in whole or in part) by "that" income - in which case, the heading is fine the way it is
(Also, I think GST = General Sales Tax???)

lalaarif1 can you confirm my assumptions please, and also, explain in words, how you would do all this manually - what are the rules that you follow?

    Formula required for set off.

    Dear Team,

    PFA.

    Note :
GST is Goods and Service Tax.

    Re: GST set-off working

In the event that you are looking for a single formula per row:
    Row 20: =IF(C13>0,MAX(SUM(C13:C15),0),IF(C13<0,MIN(SUM(C13:C15),0),0))
    Row 21: =IF(C14>0,MAX(SUM(C13:C14),0),IF(C14<0,MIN(SUM(C13:C14),0),0))
    Row 22: =IF(C20<>0,0,IF(C15>0,MIN(SUM(C13:C15),C15),IF(C15<0,MAX(SUM(C13:C15),C15),0)))
