Re: System restore point vs system image recovery

System Restore Point may take your PC back to an earlier point in time. Restore points are generated when you install a new app or driver, and when you create a restore point manually. Restoring won’t affect your personal files, but it will remove apps, drivers, and updates installed after the restore point was made.

System Image Recovery can be used to make an image back-up of an entire (logical) drive onto another drive. It also enables you to create a recovery drive which can be used if your PC won't start from the internal harddrive. That way you'll be able to repair or reinstall Windows. Personal files and any apps that did not come with your PC will not be backed up when creating a recovery drive. You'll need a USB drive that's at least 16 gigabytes.

What if I unstall apps after taking restore point and image recovery

    - img recovery can bring the app back?
    - restore point can bring the app back?

The answer on both questions is yes, however, bear in mind that in both cases you cannot selectively restore an app. In both cases other apps could be affected as well.
I would say, try both, then you will find out how it works and whether it offers enough protection in your situation in case your primary hard disk crashes.
