Windows 7 :Windows 7 - Open excel fiels in Excel, not Explorer

    Windows 7 - Open excel fiels in Excel, not Explorer

    I know how to fix this in XP, btu dont' see how to do it in Windows 7. If I access a xls via IE, it opens in IE. I need it to open in Excel. Anyone know how to fix in Windows 7?

    I'd give this a try first:
    1. Start | Control Panel | Default Programs
    2. Click the Associate a file type or protocol with a program link.
    3. Scroll down the list to the file type that you would like to open in the application instead of the browser.
    4. Highlight the file extension and click the Change program button.
    5. Select the program you want to use to open the file.
    6. Click the OK button to save the changes.
    7. Click the Close button to Close the window.
