I have hundreds of multipage pdf documents that I would like to save out as jpg's files.
I know I can convert them individually but if anyone knows a program that could do this for me automatically that would be great

If you have Adobe Acrobat Pro you can create a batch process to do this.

you can convert pdf format file to jpg format through converting software.and the other idea is if u have scanner u scan first and save as jpg format.i give u next time converting software path.
Photoshop also can help you convert into a .jpeg, plus retreiving jpeg's from the PDF itself.
There are a lot of tools available for this in market, you can simple search for many such tools that will extract images from pdf, i personally use classicpdf editor for extracting images from pdf or converting pdf to image or vice versa, its paid one but works well. One the other hand, Adobe acrobat pro can also be a good option for you, but since its really too high in price for individual's usage that's why I find it hard to be used by a single person with small budget.
I dream a dream in times gone by...!
photoshop or illustrator would do as well. some free websites will convert for free, do search on google.
You need a PDF-xchange viewer software with the help of this you can convert PDF files to JPEG.
The problem is that PDF-xchange doesn't allow you to choose the output quality.
Does someone knows a program where you can choose the right DPI setting?
In the meantime i have to use a stupid online alternative, like pdfjpg.net
There is an easy to use image editing online software available: “ReaConverter”, which is primarily intended for batch PDF to jpg and raw conversion. As a batch image converter and editor software, it offers all essential photo processing and image enhancements, the most helpful being re-size pictures, cropping, adjusting photo color, removing unwanted red-eye effect, applying artistic effects, watermarking, etc.......
