Arabic text from VBA not displaying properly in cell

Hi everyone, I am trying to use code form this forum where a numeric representation gets converted to words in arabic. Initially i had the problem where the arabic text was being represented by accented characters, eg "واحد" in the code. I fixed that by changing the 'font' to new courier arabic.
Now when i use the function the result still shows those accented characters despite it being correct in the VBA code.
I have tried changing my system locale to arabic and it didn't work.
Also, required language pack is already installed.
