Excel won't open

I'm running Office 365, and I prefer to open spreadsheets from Windows Explorer.

Very often a spreadsheet is showing the green box up to 100% open, then it hangs, and never opens. I have to Task manager shut Excel down, then log off and back on. I can open spreadsheets from within Excel. I don not have any Add-Ins running.

My IT support has done an online repair (complete uninstall and re0install of Office, but is has had no effect.


Has anyone seen this recently please?

you may have to stop dbl-clicking files from explorer.
Start XL , then use XL's 'explorer'.
