    Remove Chinese text from cells.

Hi folks, I am new to the forum and navigating my way around, so please bear with me.
I have a spreadsheet that has Chinese characters mixed with English. I need to get rid of the Chinese, any suggestions? I have tried oldchippy's suggestion on another thread and I get #Value!
I cannot post a link to the original thread as I haven't posted enough times.

This is an example of the string in cell A1.

Thank you for opening your own thread. I have removed your other post, which was hijacking an old thread. Please don't post duplicates. Thanks.

Yes, you can attach a workbook: unfortunately the attachment icon doesn't work at the moment, so to attach an Excel file you have to do the following: just before posting, scroll down to Go Advanced and then scroll down to Manage Attachments. Now follow the instructions at the top of that screen.

    Great ! Glad it worked.

Sorry to take so long to respond. The FORUM servers are acting up for me and not auto notifying me when an update has been posted.

    Cheers.
