How to plot months in a calendar based on beginning and end date

    Dears

I can't find a solution for getting the excel to recognise the month and the year in column E and F (Highlighted in Green) and then plot the time frame in a calendar setup. I did the first two events manually for you to understand my problem, the original list is very long and I hope I will be able to use the same sheet later to add more events and get the time frame highlited automatically.

Please have a look at the attached document and then drag to the right to see the highlighted time frame as expected to appear.

Many thanks in advance for making my life easier!

    Hi Maral,
here's the workbook with the solution.
Formula to color the cells is in the Conditional Formatting.
Note that there are dates in dd/mm/yyyy format as well as mm/dd/yyyy. Use one format. I changed the dates marked yellow (original dates are in separate sheet).
